Questions
Will converting to PNG improve quality?
No. PNG is lossless, so it keeps the image exactly as it is now, but it cannot restore detail the JPG already lost.
Why is the PNG larger?
PNG stores every pixel without lossy compression, so photos become larger files. That is normal.
Does this make the background transparent?
No. The image keeps its background. Converting the format does not remove it.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The conversion happens in your browser.
