Questions
Is my text saved or uploaded?
No. The counting happens in your browser. Nothing is sent to our server or stored.
How is reading time calculated?
Reading time uses an average speed of 200 words per minute. Speaking time uses 130 words per minute, a typical pace for speeches and presentations.
Does it count spaces as characters?
Both are shown. "Characters" includes spaces and line breaks, and "Characters (no spaces)" leaves them out.
Which languages does it support?
It works for any language that separates words with spaces, such as English, Spanish, French and German.
